Siege Perilous Gets an EM, Act II of The Awakening
First off: This isn’t an April Fools Joke! This actually started Friday/Saturday (March 30-31, 2012).
Just two days ago, Jeff Skalski, Producer of the Ultima Franchise, had mentioned they were targeting May for when Event Moderators (EMs) would make a return to the Siege Perilous shard. This, after Siege, gets one last chance for EMs.
Looks like that day has already arrived. Actually it arrived a few days ago..

Hello everyone!
I hope to meet you all in game soon. I’ve had quite the few weeks of training and we have much to catch up on together with the current storyline.
A little bit about myself:
I have always enjoyed Siege and feel the community here is unique, helpful and mature.
Mature? Yes! The mindset is more classic. Communities working together where even crafters still play an important role.
In regards to plans going forward for EM events and EM-influenced events (such as tying into the current story arc), EM Aurora has this to say:
I look forward to arranging a meet and greet soon but in the meantime you will notice certain functions happening in game with town raids.
I’ll be rotating this as much as possible to give everyone a chance to build up loyalty and defend their towns.
In a few days I hope to catch everyone up to speed with Act II of the current storyline. I hate to push fast forward but you deserve to be on the same timeline as all the other shards going into Act III.
EM Aurora is very active in the Siege Perilous EM Forum (Stratics).
Siege now has Act II of The Awakening (UO Guide). While it started on March 1st on the normal production shards, it is now starting today on Siege. While Siege didn’t get some parts of the previous EM fiction and events, I think EM Aurora is doing the right thing by jumping ahead and getting Siege onto an event track that more closely parallels the normal production shards.
