Publish 78, Return to Britannia
Publish 78 hit the shards last night (release notes on the UO Herald). Among the things being put in, the Return to Britannia but no houses can be placed by RtB, which makes all of us very happy as RtB houses created massive problems in the past, and some of them are still around. It also includes the Despise Dungeon revamp, and of course, anniversary gifts, which are active starting tomorrow through the end of September.:
- Harpsicord and Harpsicord Rolls
- Heritage Token (due to request for ladders)
- Sands of Sosaria (16 unique historical items, hint: dbl click them when you pick one)
- 3 exploding muffins (just for something to go boom)
- A new Anniversary Cake has 10 pieces of cake each. Careful once you eat all the pieces the cake will disappear.
For fifteen years Britannia has been a world of arcane arts and cold steel, a world where the Apprentice can become Legendary, a world where Warriors become Champions. Throughout its rich past Britannia has been a place where histories have unfolded, where new friends have become family, and where each new adventure can lead to great fortune.

I don’t have much to say – this needs to happen every year, maybe limit the RtB accounts to only being active one month out of the year, but make it any month since former players do not live by the schedule of UO’s anniversary. I think they should have this as a permanent part of UO with a few restrictions in addition to no houses being placed. Think of it as a one-month free-to-play for former UO players! Yeah, that’s it!
