UO Stratics – Petra Fyde – 3 Years as UO Stratics ME
Congratulations to Petra (Fyde) at UO Stratics, she’s starting her fourth year as the Managing Editor at UO Stratics:
One of the most important persons at our partner site UO Stratics celebrates her 3rd anniversary today. Petra shows an incredible dedication and helped to make UO Stratics what it is today. Our whole team congratulates Petra and wishes her all the best for the next years – 3 years might be not as long as the 15 years UO faces this year, but we are sure she is working on it.
Why don’t you head over to their forum and congratulate her, too?
She’s an unpaid volunteer, I might add.
Just noticed something interesting. There’s the forum article you suggested posting to, then there’s the Stratics article which is similar to this one, minus the link to the forum post. Neither this one nor the Stratics article has any replies, just the forum post which has dozens. All well and good, but it makes me miss the days of the Usenet where at least communication about the same subject was consolidated. Guess I’m well on my way to getting old, confused and useless. Is it just me, or is there way to much shit to keep track of these days?
Ever since they gave up the official UO.com forums, they don’t really believe in having direct communication between fans on the UO website. It’s based on Drupal and they could easily turn on comments, but they’ve made the decision to push such communications off to fansites.
You can contact some of the UO team members on Twitter, you can contact some of them on Stratics/UO Forums.
When they created the official Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning forums on BioWare.com for Mythic, I wondered why they didn’t follow through with UO and Dark Age of Camelot.
