Pretend this is a “Welcome to the Website” Post

Without further ado, here is a quick summary since I’ve quietly posted the links or instructed others to pass them on.

Goals
The focus of UO.UltimaCodex.com is news and community events (for now). That doesn’t’ explain the whole story, because “news and community events” can encompass a great many things. There are plans for other things, and they will happen in due course. UO.UltimaCodex.com is part of a larger group of sites – you can view them if you look at the menu above and select the Ultima Codex Network.

What Are We Not?
We are not a replacement for any fansite out there – UO Guide, UO Stratics, UO Forums, etc. We’re just not. They are different sites with different goals.

Contributions
There are other people contributing, but some of them will probably not make themselves seen until their contributions are ready.

The Merging of the Websites.
Over the coming weeks/months, there will be some websites that are incorporated into UO.UltimaCodex.com, some fully, some not. Some content may end up at UO Guide. So where you see just stories for March, don’t be surprised one day if a lot of older stories pop up. We just have to make sure that they are moved/redirected properly for the search engines like Google. Parts of UOJournal.com will be the first to be moved over. Only the news, articles, and community stuff. The rants/humorous stuff will stay at UOJournal. As the other sites move in, we’ll announce them.
