UO 15th Anniversary Items are Available
At least they are available in some areas. Remember, they are available after maintenance on some shards (September 1st), and are available now on others. You can obtain them through the end of September, 2012.
HOW DO I KNOW IF I RECEIVED THE ANNIVERSARY ITEMS?
If you see the message highlighted by the arrow below, you received them.
So what are the gifts and what do they look like? Read on.
The list of Anniversary Gifts:
- Harpsicord (10 colors)
- Harpsicord Rolls (15 songs)
- Heritage Token (due to request for ladders)
- Sands of Sosaria (16 unique historical items, hint: dbl click them when you pick one)
- 3 exploding muffins (just for something to go boom)
- A new Anniversary Cake has 10 pieces of cake each. Careful once you eat all the pieces the cake will disappear.
Note: You only get one hourglass and one Harpsicord and one cake. I posted images of extra ones to show some of the varieties, to illustrate that the hourglass has different years, and that when you chop a harpsichord to move it, it keeps the songs/rolls associated with it.
Obtaining Harpsicord Rolls/Songs
You automatically get one – Anvil Strike in Minoc. You can also get them killing monsters in Ter Mur, Stygian Abyss (Dungeon) and one other area (it escapes me).
Now to use one of the rols, you simply double-click on it, and then when you get the targeting cursor, you point at the harpsichord you want to deposit the roll in, and you get the message shown below.
When you double-click on a harpsichord, the interface with songs shown above is brought up. Select it and it will start playing. From the image above, you can get an idea of a couple of the colors.
The Heritage Token (UO Guide) is something those of you needing ladders, hanging weapons, or nice-looking fireplaces will want to hoard.
